1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp onion chopped
1/4 to 1/2 tsp maldive fish *
1/4 to 1/2 tsp chillie powder
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp garam masala
3 tbsp grated coconut
2 to 3 tbsp oil
Wash the kale then drain. Chop the kale small with a knife, and mix onions, coconut, maldive fish, salt, turmeric, chillie powder and garam masala. It is better to use your hands and mix while pressing all the ingredients for more flavour and to make the kale smaller.
Heat pan with oil on medium high and add the kale mixture. Lower the cooker and let it cook till the kale is soft to desired taste.
Don't add water, if needed add oil or cover the pan and cook so it cooks in its own steam, adjust salt if needed. Maldive fish gives a flavour but could be opted if you can't find it.
