This quick, delicious French Toast was made in a mug, in the microwave and was ready to enjoy in two minutes.
1 tbsp butter
2 to 3 slices of bread cut into cubes
1 egg
3 tbsp milk
1/4 to 1/2 tsp cinnamon
maple syrup or treacle to serve
Rub the butter all over the mug and leave the left over piece of butter on the bottom of the mug. Put the cubes of bread into the mug.
Beat the egg, milk and cinnamon in a separate bowl using a fork and add to the cubed bread in the mug.
Place the mug in the microwave and heat for 1 minute and 20 seconds, and keep heating every 20 seconds until it cooked to your liking. I put a total of about 2 minutes. Serve with syrup.
