3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons orange juice
Pinch of salt
This recipe makes 6 to 8 waffles. Grease the the waffle maker on the top and bottom plates well with cooking oil each time before you put the waffles so it would come out easily. Preheat waffle maker before putting the mixture and let it cook according to the instructions of your waffle maker until it is golden brown.
In a bowl, add the flour, baking powder, and salt and keep it aside.
Beat the egg with oil, vanilla, orange juice, milk, and sugar. Then add the flour mixture to this egg mixture. Do not over mix this batter or the waffles will turn out tough or chewy, it is okay if there are lumps in the batter.
This recipe is from here, and has become my go-to waffle recipe.
