Making cake pops are easy when we use the Trudeau Cake Pop Set that comes with a mould, sticks, and a display. These cake pops are beautiful to make for any occasion.
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/4 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp milk, at room temperature
Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla then add the eggs one at a time and mix until light and fluffy. Alternate and add flour and milk until it combines.
Grease the bottom half of the silicone mould that is without the hole using butter and pour in the mixture to level each cup. Place the top half of the mould and clip together. Place the mould in a baking tray and bake at 350F for 35 minutes on the middle shelf of the oven until browned.
1 cup milk chocolate
Sprinkles optional
Remove the top of the mould. Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and dip the end of the lollipop sticks into it. Insert the covered end of the sticks into the cake pop and leave it to cool for a few minutes.
Once the stick sits firm, dip the cake pop into the chocolate and cover with chocolate. Gently tap the stick to remove the excess chocolate. Decorate with sprinkles and nuts before the chocolate hardens. If you are decorating with icing then let the chocolate harden.
