A Whole New Way of Microwaving with Breville Quick Touch Crisp

Cooking or heating food on non-metal dishes using standard microwaves usually ends up with soggy food, as it cooks and releases steam. The Breville's innovative Quick Touch Crisp microwave changes this reality for us. 

This aluminium metal pan that comes with this microwave can get really hot and stand up to the heat similar to a baking dish in the oven. The adjustable legs allow the pan to get close to the grill when needed so the food can get a golden top and a crispy bottom. I like that the feet on this pan is collapsible for easy storage. 

The bottom of the pan has a magnetic silicone base with Ferrite, which is non-stick. The integrated Smart Cook and Grill setting brings together the microwave, grill, and crispier pan together by preheating the pan and switching between the microwave and grill. I like that we can either hand wash or place the pan in the dishwasher.

Having the shortcut list on the inside door panel for the most common food items such as popcorn, beverage, pizza, grilled cheese, frozen snacks or to melt chocolate and soften butter is convenient for us. It takes out the guessing game of how much time we need to heat up each of these common food items.

The ease of having to heat up food in the quick touch of these preprogrammed buttons that is setup with the ideal time and temperature, lets us achieve results we want. There is also a favourite button on the top, which we can customize for the food item we heat up the most. 

• The Smart Settings in the Quick Touch Crisp sets the power level and time depending on the food and quantity. 
• Sensor IQ detects the humidity within the cooking chamber and determine the appropriate cooking time.
• Smart Cook and Grill: This setting uses predetermined microwave and grill times to take the guesswork out of cooking our favourite foods.
• Smart Reheat: This setting uses lower power levels to reheat food without overcooking or drying it out.
• Smart Defrost: This setting is designed to gently defrost foods without overheating it or drying out the edges. 
• The Bit More button lets us add a little extra cooking time.   
• Time can be set in either 12 or 24 hour clock formats. 
• Has a kitchen timer.
• When the bit more button is held for a few seconds we can activate the child lock for safety, which will disable all the controls. 

Similar to other Breville products, the Breville Quick Touch Crisp design looks sleek and stylish with the stainless steel exterior. The dimensions of the microwave is about 20" length, 14" depth (plus 2" handle) and 12" height. 

We can do so many different preparations beyond reheating with this microwave from drying herbs, toasting nuts, roasting to grilling.
