Savoury Triscuit Snacks

snacks savoury triscuit
The chill in the air ultimately leads us to crave cozy comfort food and soothing scents associated with sweet baking and savoury indulgence for quiet nights and holiday gatherings. In our family, we enjoy using Triscuit crackers as a canvas to serve finger food because of their unique texture, taste, and flavour. This recipe for savoury snacks I made are easy to prepare and are perfect to serve during any gathering at home or office, or at holiday parties.

With over a century of tradition and made famous for their simplicity and versatility, Triscuit crackers are a pantry staple and a beloved snack for all ages. The entire selection of Triscuit products from Snack Works are now Non-GMO Project Verified. Starting with the same three simple ingredients that make up all Triscuit crackers – wheat, oil and salt – they have a new festive flavour that combines warm, aromatic cinnamon and fragrant nutmeg to create a perfectly uplifting treat. These limited edition Nutmeg and Cinnamon flavour Triscuit crackers are here for the holidays and will only be available for a limited time at grocery stores across Canada, so grab a box before they are gone.

I prepared a topping with the ingredients below to serve on Triscuit crackers. This topping worked well with both the original, low sodium, and Nutmeg and Cinnamon flavour Triscuit crackers. This delicious snack is easy to quickly prepare when you have guests, and it will impress your friends and family. You can either serve it as a dip accompanied with Triscuits or place a teaspoon of the mixture on top of each Triscuit and arrange in a platter for guests to enjoy as finger food.

1 cup flake style frozen Crab Delectables thawed,
2 to 3 tbsp mayonnaise to taste
1/2 tsp of Japanese 7 Spice Blend shichimi togarashi to taste
1 tbsp red onion chopped to taste
2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped

It is very important that all the water from the frozen Crab Delectables is squeezed out well so the dip does not get soggy. Once you remove all the water from the flake style thawed crab cut into bite size pieces. Toss the crab pieces with mayonnaise, chopped onion and coriander leaves and the spice blend. The Japanese blend has the perfect balance of spices and salt flavour made with ingredients such as pepper, dried orange peel, red chillie pepper, nori, black sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and wasabi powder.

  13. I've tried a different type of something like Crab Delectables and didn't like it. I'd use shrimp or real crab if it's a special occasion.
